Hello! You are so welcome here!

What is happening?!

Weather, recipes, and pottery

Little update on our lives and some of the fun things going on over on the blog!

Its summer!!!

Ha ha, just kidding. But the weather here in Alaska sure has us feeling like it is. The ice is gone, and it has not snowed in weeks. My son even wore his sandals today because the 45-degree weather "wasn't cold".

We are really enjoying all the cozy comforting meals while we watch the snow melt away and winds whip around.

I am also now the proud mother of a three-year-old and an eight-month-old. How they have grown up so fast, I have no idea.

Household Hobbies

Do you ever get some down time but don't know what to fill it with? Because that is my problem. I want to read, learn to knit, clean the house (not that it's a hobby...), watercolor, and now, add pottery to that list. A dear friend of mine from church said she goes to a studio every weekend and makes her own little mugs and such. She taught me this past weekend and now I cannot stop dreaming about all the little cups and dishes I want to create.

She did say she wants to sell some of the georgous pieces she throws. So, if anyone is interested in handmade pottery from Alaska, let me know! I'll pass along her info!

hELPFUL THINGS FOR THE WEEK!

BAGELS!!!

If you have been looking for a sourdough bagel recipe, look no further! These are so chewy, flavorful, and fun. They are so easy to put together and even freeze well!

Orange decor

These orange slices hang in our window long after Christmas is over. They are so simple, cost effective, and beautiful. Create some lovely natural decor for your home while you wait for the beauty of spring.

Chicken bone broth

Since the weather does not know what it is doing, and there are beaches with snow across America, you might just need a mug of broth to warm you up. Nourishing, hydrating, and cozy as ever.

Clean Protein Sale!

It can be so hard to get enough protein every day. This is our favorite brand. It is grass-fed beef based, no preservatives, additives, or colors. From the 27th - the 31st of the month NEW customers get 25% off sitewide, and a free bag of colostrum gummies!

As always, I am so thankful for you and your continued support of the blog, our adventures, and the mission here at unhurried homemaker. I wouldn't be able to do this without you!

If you have any ideas for how to improve the blog, any content you would like to see, a recipe you want to be sourdough- just reply to this email, I would love to hear all your ideas!

The goal is to help others live a more natural life, find the magic in the mundane moments of motherhood, and simplify homemaking. If I inspire you to do that even a little bit, then I am achieving my goals!

Have a wonderful rest of your week, and I'll see you in February!
